The Ivory House was founded by Sreerupa Rath, whose professional journey began in banking and finance before transitioning into education. While these professions may appear different on the surface, they share a common trait: an unwavering attention to detail.

Banking demands precision, accountability, and disciplined execution. Teaching requires patience, observation, and a deep understanding of individual needs. Together, these experiences shaped a mindset that values both structure and empathy, qualities that sit at the heart of exceptional interior design.

Over the years, Sreerupa observed a growing trend across Odisha and other emerging cities. Homeowners aspiring to create refined, luxury residences often felt compelled to engage designers from larger metropolitan markets, believing that world-class design could only be found elsewhere. Yet she recognised that truly meaningful homes are not created through replication. They are created through understanding.

This belief became the foundation of The Ivory House.

Mr. Prasant Dhal brings to The Ivory House a deep understanding of built environments, design execution, and large-scale project sensibilities.

Associated with Odisha’s evolving design and construction ecosystem, his guidance strengthens The Ivory House with strategic clarity, material awareness, and a disciplined approach to execution.

The design lineage around his advisory role is informed by exposure to some of Odisha’s most recognisable built environments, including landmark civic, hospitality, institutional, and commercial spaces such as the Police Commissionerate building in Bhubaneswar, Mayfair’s hospitality properties, Kalinga Stadium precinct works, and major corporate campuses around Infocity.

At The Ivory House, his role is not to impose a style, but to strengthen the studio’s foundation: precision, proportion, functionality, execution discipline, and long-term design value.
